Yesterday, the program “Compassion Books” and “Minh Thang Bookstore” collaborated with the Department of Publishing, Printing, and Distribution, the Department of Education and Training, and the Provincial Police of Hau Giang to organize a successful ceremony for book donations and the development of reading culture to schools in the province.
During the event, the ” Compassion Books ” and “Minh Thang Bookstore” presented 90 bookcases worth VND 193 million to 8 primary and secondary schools in various districts and towns of Hau Giang, including:
Vo Thi Sau Primary School in Vi Thanh City.
Thuan An Primary School in Long My Town.
Vi Thanh 1 Primary School in Vi Thuy District.
Nguyen Du Primary School in Chau Thanh A District.
Thuan Hung Secondary School in Long My District.
Nguyen Viet Hong Secondary School in Vi Thanh City.
Vi Thanh Secondary School in Vi Thuy District.
Tan Hoa Secondary School in Chau Thanh A District.
Moreover, in addition to donating books to schools, the Department of Publishing, Printing, and Distribution and Minh Thang Bookstore also presented 20 law bookcases to police units in the province.
It is delightful that the journey of cultivating a reading culture has received contributions from numerous agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals who share the same goal of spreading the spirit of reading and knowledge to everyone in the community, particularly students.
After more than five years, the ” Compassion Books ” has donated over 16,000 bookcases and libraries to 60 provinces and cities, providing valuable reading opportunities to millions of children and adults. On this journey, the program has attracted and received the support of various sectors and departments, including the Education, Culture, Security, Defense, Foreign Affairs, Propaganda, Patriotic Front, and numerous other organizations such as the Education Promotion Society, publishers, and book companies.
Minh Thang Bookstore has been partnering with the ” Compassion Books ” program for the second time. Along with publishing literature, medicine, English, and children’s books, Minh Thang Bookstore is committed to donating books and promoting reading to schools and communities.
